What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities main branch located in downtown Vancouver is looking for an Administrative Assistant/Associate to provide concierge level administrative support to an established Advisory team.

You will provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient administrative support to both clients and the Advisor Team. This is a long-term and stable career opportunity for the right candidate.

What will you do?

  • Daily administrative support to the Advisor and their team
  • Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
  • Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Respond to client inquiries (account transactions, requests account documentation, account reporting, etc.).
  • Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding.
  • Help manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Follow-up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery (upon licensing)
  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients: manage timelines and key dates for accounts
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.
  • Help update team's communication channels: websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.
  • All other administrative duties as required

Must-have

  • 1-3 years' administrative experience in the securities industry
  • High level of time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Comfortable performing administrative heavy duties in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication

Nice-to-have

  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities' systems and procedures

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills,registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.0x base salary.
