Salary Range:$90,000 USD - $115,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications,commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. As part of our continued efforts to enhance risk management practices, we areseekinga dynamic and detail-orientedAssociate Manager,OperationalRiskwith robust project management capabilities to join ourOperational Risk Managementteam.

As a member of the Operational Risk team,you'llbe part of a collaborative and purpose-driven group that values integrity, innovation, and impact. This role blends core risk management responsibilities with hands-on project leadership, offering a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen our operational resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct andfacilitateoperational risk activities, including risk assessments, control documentation and testing, event analysis, and remediation tracking.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuringtimelydelivery of risk initiatives through effective planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Developandmaintainproject plans, including scope definition, milestone tracking, and status reporting.

  • Producetimelyandaccurateoperational risk reports for internal and external stakeholders on both scheduled and ad hoc bases.

  • Facilitatethe SOC1 audit engagement and oversightas well as the quarterly bridge letter process.

  • Support the Russell Investments corporate insurance program.

  • Monitor changes to RI's business and risk profile and recommend changes to RI's global insurance program asappropriate.

  • Develop and implement risk management program policies and procedures.

Demonstrable skills and experiencesrequired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting,ora relateddiscipline.

  • 5-8years of experiencewith exposure to operational riskand/orinternal/external audit.

  • Financial services orasset managementexperiencepreferred but not necessary.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects end to end (initiation through delivery), ideally within a risk, audit, or compliance environment.

  • Proven effective communication skills, negotiation techniques, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • History ofdemonstratinginitiative, effective prioritization, and sound judgement.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintainingattention to detail and strategic context

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, build consensus, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to translate data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Proactive, self-drivenapproach to prioritization, multitasking, and continuous improvement

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Familiarity with GRC platforms such as MetricStream is a plus.
