Job Summary
The Associate Manager oversees a smaller team of 1-3 exempt level employees, and a smaller revenue amount, than a Manager, Finance. They are responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. They assist in monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize financial outcomes. The Associate Finance Manager may also be involved in financial reporting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies. They work closely with cross-functional teams and provide support in decision-making processes to drive the organization's financial success.
Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Directly oversee and manage a $75M - $150M revenue per year book of business
  • Manage 1 - 2 individual contributors
  • Manage the development and tracking financial budgets, forecasts and results and perform financial management oversight of assigned book of business.
  • Manage a myriad of program finance functions; including establishing / managing program cost baselines, conducting variance analysis, conducting ROI, should cost, and pricing review analysis. Use various enterprise toolsets including LN, QlikView, Cobra, excel, and other tools to successfully support the business.
  • Provide direct support to greater segment presentations (MOAB, EAC reviews, iterations, etc.)
  • Assist in management of site finance functions as requested by site VP

Knowledge (Education/License/Certification, Prior Experience)
  • Advanced Degree or certificate (MS, MBA, CPA, CFA, CMA, Etc.) Preferred

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3-7 Years of (or combination of):
    • Accounting (Cost accounting, Audit, Other accounting functions.)
    • FP&A Experience (Revenue, GP, Cash, NB) forecasting, Planning, & Analysis
    • PP&C Experience (EAC development, ETC, material analysis)
    • Revenue recognition experience
    • Project set up experience
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • 0.5-2 years of:
    • Team leadership experience
