Job Summary We a re seeking a skilled Welder to perform maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of radiation-shielded and RF-shielded door systems. This role involves mechanical and electrical work on large automatic mechanisms, ensuring precise alignment and compliance with safety standards in medical and industrial environments. Candidates must be able to work independently, communicate effectively with customers, and maintain professionalism in challengi ng settings. Key Responsibilities Pe rform routine maintenance on radiation-shielded and RF-shielded door systems. Install, align, and calibrate automatic door systems, heavy-duty operators, and safety sensors. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues in automatic door systems. Ensure precise adjustments and alignment of linear motion systems to meet performance standards. Provide customer guidance on proper operation and safety procedures. Communicate effectively with customers to understand needs and provide technical support. Prepare detailed service reports for management and customers. Coordinate pre- and post-project communications to manage expectations and ensure milestones are met. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, including mandatory PPE use per ANSI Z49.1. Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to project management. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Service Operations Manager or General Mana ger. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Welding experience required; certified welder preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, especially with automatic doors, linear motion systems, and safety interlocks. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment. OSHA 30 Construction certification. Preferred Qualifications Tec hnical certification or associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or automation fields. Experience with PLCs or other control systems. Familiarity with ANSI/BHMA standards and safety guidelines for automatic door systems. MRI/RF experience highly desirable. Forklift, scissor lift, and first-aid certifications pr eferred.
