The Icahn School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding Associate Researcher I to join the Pereira Laboratory, which studies the neurobiology of Alzheimer's disease using postmortem human tissue and biochemical and analytical techniques. The successful candidate will contribute to tissue processing, sample preparation, and downstream analysis in support of ongoing research into disease mechanisms. Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,661.00 - $78,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
- Process and prepare human postmortem tissue for downstream biochemical analysis
- Perform subcellular fractionation and isolation procedures
- Conduct protein aggregation and seeding assays
- Coordinate sample preparation and shipment for outside analytical services
- Perform flow cytometry and analyze resulting data
Maintain accurate laboratory records and contribute to data analysis and interpretation
