Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The ASUMechanical Reliability Trainer is responsible for developing, executing, andmanaging comprehensive mechanical training programs that support the technicaldevelopment of mechanical technicians, performance technicians, and reliabilitypersonnel across Nippon Sanso Matheson's Bulk Operations organization. Thisrole maintains and manages structured progression schedules, ensuring employeesadvance through defined competency levels in alignment with operational andreliability expectations. The trainer also serves as the subject matter expertfor all mechanical condition monitoring programs, providing technicalleadership, program oversight, and continuous improvement to strengthenmechanical reliability across Nippon Sanso Matheson's ASU fleet.
EssentialFunctions
MechanicalTraining Program Development & Delivery
Develop, update, and deliver mechanical training curricula covering rotating equipment, static equipment, compressors, pumps, cryogenic machinery, and ASU specific mechanical systems.
Conduct classroom, hands on, and field based training for mechanical and performance technicians.
Create training materials, assessments, certification pathways, and competency evaluations.
Ensure training content reflects current industry standards, OEM guidance, and NSM best practices.
Progression Program Management
Maintain and manage progression schedules for mechanical technicians and performance technicians.
Track individual development plans, training milestones, and competency achievements.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to support employee growth.
Collaborate with operations and reliability leadership to ensure progression expectations align with business needs.
Mechanical Condition Monitoring Expertise
Serve as the subject matter expert for mechanical condition monitoring programs.
Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and best practices for mechanical condition monitoring.
Support troubleshooting, failure investigations, and root cause analysis (RCA).
Support reliability improvement initiatives across ASU sites.
Program Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and certification files.
Ensure training programs comply with internal policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate training schedules with operations, engineering, and reliability teams.
Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvement strategies.
