Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Manager opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to lead quality assurance activities for an industrial manufacturing facility within the nuclear industry. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing quality systems, managing audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control for complex, high-accuracy components and an ability to lead cross-functional teams in pursuit of quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a quality program for an industrial manufacturing facility
  • Lead internal and external audits, including and customer assessments
  • Oversee quality control processes, inspection protocols, and documentation practices across manufacturing operations
  • Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure product and process quality
  • Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure traceability and documentation of nuclear-grade materials and components
  • Train and mentor quality personnel and production staff on quality standards and procedures
  • Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior leadership and regulatory bodies

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the nuclear industry
  • Experience developing and implementing quality programs
  • Strong knowledge of ISO quality standards
  • Proven leadership and team management skills in a high-compliance environment
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Active or recently active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field

  • Experience with tight-tolerance machining and CNC processes
  • Experience in the Automotive or Aerospace industry
