About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts for our software products. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, ensuring product reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test plans to ensure full coverage of product requirements.
  • Design, create, and execute automated and manual test scripts to meet quality goals.
  • Prepare and manage traceability matrices to verify test coverage.
  • Generate detailed testing reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Monitor software changes and update test cases and plans accordingly.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of software defects and track resolutions.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist colleagues in achieving optimal results.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management within the scope of expertise.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of software development principles and various software types.
  • Proficiency in formal programming languages, primarily Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of automated processing technologies and QA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation standards and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid understanding of client-server architecture.

Requirements & Professional Experience

For Chicago, IL Only the salary range for this position is USD$140,000.00 - USD$195,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
