Other duties may be assigned as determined by the needs of the business.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Execute predefined manual test cases for the client-facing web GUI, including integrated and standalone phone, video visitation, and TTY/VRS systems, while reviewing logs (Linux CLI: grep, tail, log parsing) and monitoring for errors.
  • Perform testing for standalone phone, video visitation, TTY/VRS, and other internal/external GUIs that may be deployed outside the standard monthly release cycle, with corresponding log and metrics review.
  • Maintain and update Qase test cases, execute test runs, and log new defects.
  • Contribute to test automation by running automated test suites and assisting in creating or maintaining Python/Playwright scripts, with log and metrics review during test execution.
  • Perform targeted QA checks in production environments, such as verifying file changes or reviewing configuration work before client delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of quality assurance activities.

What You'll Need
  • Preferred Bachelor's Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or up to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Entry level, including internships, industry-recognized QA bootcamps, or academic projects. Focus on learning processes, tools, and applying QA fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts and defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command line interface (CLI).
  • Proficiency in, or ability and willingness to quickly learn, Python, Playwright, Qase, GitLab, API testing using Postman, and other QA tools.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and ability to perform basic queries using CLI or tools like DBeaver.
  • Professional, concise verbal and written communication.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork in a remote setting.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Initiative and commitment to technical self-development.
  • Curiosity and drive to learn new tools, techniques, and processes as the QA environment evolves.
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to adjust focus as priorities and requirements change.
  • Ability to work independently while recognizing when to seek guidance, asking clear and well-researched questions after investigating potential solutions.
