We are seeking a Logistics Associateto join our team in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. This opportunity includes: coordinating customer account information and resolving questions regarding time-sensitive shipments. You provide support by tracking shipments, troubleshooting customer inquiries, and updating customer invoice information. Problem-solving, planning, and a commitment to the highest level of customer service are skills we highly desire. Position requires computer-savvy skill sets, and the ability to keep up with the fast-paced logistics environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Improve and maintain customer relationships
  • Track and trace the status of shipments
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving techniques
  • Recognize when a team member is in need of assistance
  • Ability to learn daily airfreight/trucking reports
  • Extensive email and phone communications
  • Respond to customer requests for cargo pick-ups and rate quotes
  • Responsible for providing accurate computer-generated and written reports
  • Processing special rate requests as needed
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency of work performed
  • Work with various internal departments and terminals
  • Ability to take directions and demonstrate good listening skills

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years Customer Service/Logistics experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of the Internet, email, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to quickly learn multiple web-based systems and software
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented while multitasking.
  • Use good judgment in completing work tasks.
  • Strong leadership skills

Hours/Schedule: First Shift: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sunday Monday off
Salary range: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour
