Reporting to the Associate Provost for Academic Strategy and Student Success, this role provides university-wide leadership for institutional research, assessment, learning analytics, accreditation support, and data strategy. The Associate Dean will lead the Office of Planning, Assessment & Institutional Research (OPAIR), helping the University leverage data to improve student outcomes, support strategic planning, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in institutional research, assessment, analytics, or related higher education functions.
  • Experience supporting accreditation processes and compliance reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, predictive analytics, and data visualization.
  • Experience with institutional data systems, relational databases, and analytics tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and collaborating across multiple stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience with Middle States accreditation.
  • Experience with learning analytics initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics and assessment tools.
  • Knowledge of IPEDS, U.S. News, and New York State reporting requirements.
