Job description

Senior Electrical Project Engineer โ€“ Electrical Systems for BuildingsOpportunity

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer with deep experience designing electrical systems for large industrial and commercial facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative, integrated team of architects, engineers, and project managers, delivering complex, high-profile projects with construction values of up to $500 million for some of the most recognizable brands in the industry.

In this key leadership role, you will apply advanced technical design expertise, engineering judgment, and problem-solving skills, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.


Position Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Electrical Engineering, this role will:

  • Lead electrical engineering and design teams in the preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications

  • Design and oversee lighting and lighting control systems

  • Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems

  • Specify materials, methods, and electrical components

  • Develop and integrate control systems for mechanical and refrigeration systems

  • Collaborate proactively with multi-disciplinary design teams across architecture and engineering

  • Support project execution from concept through construction


Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required

  • 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for large industrial and commercial buildings

    • A/E consulting experience strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to independently produce complete construction documents

  • Strong leadership presence with excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills

  • Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to high-quality engineering solutions
