Description
American Credit Acceptance (ACA) is part of The Johnson Group and one of the nation's leading indirect auto finance companies; we partner with dealerships across the 50 states to empower the emerging credit consumer to purchase reliable and affordable transportation. As ACA continues to grow, the Company must maintain access to significant, diversified and cost-efficient sources of financing to support an approximately $7.5BN portfolio. The Capital Markets team, within ACA's Finance division, manages the Company's funding platforms and relationships with lending partners and investors. Through securitizations, bank credit facilities, and other sources of capital, the team helps ensure ACA has the financial resources needed to support its operations and long-term growth.
The CM Financial Analyst will collaborate internally with other team members and associates throughout the organization, as well as with external partners such as banks and rating agencies to facilitate efficient funding of the business.
Essential Functions

  • Support the execution of the Company's capital markets and funding transactions by coordinating documentation, timelines, deliverables, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare transaction marketing materials, investor and rating agency presentations, and due diligence responses to support securitizations, warehouse renewals, and other financing initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance databases, financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools used to monitor asset performance and funding activity.
  • Analyze transaction cash flows, collateral performance, portfolio trends, and market conditions to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Monitor and update company, industry, and capital markets metrics for use in internal reporting, external presentations, and executive decision-making.
  • Assist with transaction structuring, pricing analysis, funding forecasts, and evaluation of financing alternatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of reporting, analytics, and transaction execution.
  • Partner across the organization to support daily liquidity needs and the operational execution of financing transactions.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics or another related analytical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw thoughtful conclusions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including exposure to large datasets and simple financial models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment where every day presents unique opportunities and challenges
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and financial statement fundamentals
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn new concepts and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:
  • Internship or prior experience in finance, banking, capital markets, accounting, or another analytical role
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Artificial Intelligence tools, Python, R, SAS, Snowflake or other data analysis tools

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, in-office position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday. Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.
