Position Scope:

The E2E French Fry Applications Engineer/ Specialist/ Associate provides engineering sales support for all French Fry related project opportunities.

In this exciting and fast paced role, you will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced colleagues within the E2E Applications team, Regional General Managers globally and the Senior Outside Sales Team, making this position an ideal opportunity to gain inside knowledge and experience of French Fry and potato specialties factories globally. This role involves every aspect of the potato industry.
End to End Projects include everything associated with the operational needs of a modern factory. Projects can include everything from potato storages to finished product warehousing and everything in between. Delivering full End to End projects is the primary focus. ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret customer requirements, client bid packages, scope information and drawings.
  • Design/configure our proposed solution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create 2D or 3D technical equipment and layout sales drawings.
  • Complete a cost study of the proposed solution.
  • Prepare professional proposals and bid documents.
  • Explain technical concepts to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Handoff won projects to our Project Management Office.
  • Maintain and update design templates, tools and records.
  • Assist in drafting analysis reports, including tables/charts or other sales support documentation as required.
  • Coach and provide basic technical support to Applications Associates.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Affiliation:ย Registered P.Eng.; if not licensed, treated asย Applications Specialist.
  • Drafting Proficiency: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor
  • Knowledge/Experience: Hands-on knowledge of food processing, mechanical equipment design, sales, project estimation, proposal writing, equipment manufacturing, P&IDs and refrigeration.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Able to quickly learn and understand mechanical/engineering concepts, equipment function and basic principles of physics.
  • Communication & Technical Writing Skills: Capable of clearly articulating ideas and project details in both written and verbal forms.
  • Detail-Oriented: Able to pay attention and focus on small details - which can have a large impact on the overall solution we are providing.
  • Fast Processor of Information: Able to quickly grasp project requirements and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Energetic, Collaborative, and Deadline-Driven: Proactive in engaging with team members and committed to meeting timelines.
  • Quick Learner: Desire and ability to absorb new concepts, technologies, knowledge and processes.
