Manages and coordinates company's IT function across sub-functions such as software / application development, infrastructure development, operations and end user support, data management and security to meet company's business requirements.
Job Description
This position follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.
Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
Responsibilities:
The Associate Director of Technology will have extensive interaction with all management levels and other internal stakeholders to deliver the roadmap for Client Onboarding and Enterprise Business Services & Platforms. With strong industry expertise in designing and building high-performance applications using Java technologies, the candidate will identify and resolve complex information technology challenges. The role oversees multiple teams responsible for application development, modification, and maintenance. Possessing in-depth knowledge of solution architecture, development tools, and programming languages, along with strong people management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, the individual will drive technical excellence and strategic initiatives to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Lead multiple teams of specialized developers and analysts and be responsible for growing the team, maturing processes, adhering to service level objectives and agreements, project management activities, and resource management across multiple geographic locations.
  • Coach and develop the team to draw the best performance out of each team member and push them to grow and stretch their skills and abilities.
  • Strong experience with all phases of SDLC lifecycle. Hands-on experience as a technical leader with Java, Full stack Development, Spring, SQL, Integration Frameworks, Micro services, Automation, Cloud journeys, Solution architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale AI adoption within Agile/DevOps teams, with measurable impact on velocity, cycle time, and quality.
  • Organize production support activities across multiple time zones.
  • Work with our business partners to understand requirements, design IT solutions and ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic approach to design.
  • Ensure that the team maintains high performance, maintainability, and quality standards for software.
  • Influence the prioritization of business unit technology projects, optimal project structure and project administration to ensure strategic business objectives are met and risk is managed.
  • Focus on workforce management to accurately capture IT resource capacity involving resources (internal and/or external), processes and practices.
  • Develop and maintain development methodology and ensures all team members understand their responsibilities in this process.
  • Work a non-standard schedule including nights and weekends and have on call responsibilities (primary contact for any issue in the area)

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience building scalable Java/Spring Boot-based API platforms integrated with decision engines.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk or similar).
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Jenkins, Git).
  • Background in building user-centric, API-driven platforms with seamless digital experiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale AI adoption within Agile/DevOps teams, with measurable impact on velocity, cycle time, and quality.
  • Experience mentoring teams and driving engineering best practices across decisioning, API, and data platforms.
