Senior iSeries Developer/Analyst (ERP & EDI)         

Location: Exeter, PA

Role Summary
Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. is currently looking to hire a Senior iSeries Developer/Analyst (ERP & EDI) for our Exeter, PA location. In this role, you will analyze business needs and design programming solutions by enhancing existing ERP and EDI applications or developing new functionality through coding, testing, debugging, and documentation on an iSeries platform.
Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement custom modifications to the IBM Power Systems Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) environment. Codes in RPG, RPG III, RPG IV, ILE, CLP, Fixed, Free, and SQL to update existing programs or build new applications.

  • Provide programming support for various interfaces.

  • Troubleshoot and debug existing code.

  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills when working with users and business leaders to conduct a detailed analysis of functional and technical requirements needed to create coding specifications.

  • Tests code and fixes to ensure quality and accuracy. Produce application documentation, including process and data flow diagrams. Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.

  • Keeps internal customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes.  May assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.

  • Complete project/work effort estimates. 

  • Often works independently of a project manager and owns the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), demonstrating technical proficiency and business communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Mentor and train junior developers and cross-train peers on the library of system tools and applications.

  • Support deployments and business missions after hours, as necessary.

  • Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work. May set priorities, schedule, and review work, but have no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance, and/or make pay decisions.

  • Maintain EDI communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, VAN) and ensure secure, reliable data exchange across all channels.

  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

  • BS in Computer Science or an associate’s degree.

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.

  • Strong RPG, RPG III, RPG IV, ILE, CLP, Fixed, Free, and SQL programming skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.

  • Ability to troubleshoot EDI failures, transmission errors, and data mismatches, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain EDI maps/documents, translations, and communication workflows.

  • Strong professional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with Profound UI is a plus.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily sedentary: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse frequently.
