Associate Professor Computer Science Jobs in Ontario

The Department of Clinical Studies at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position is full-time, but a fractional appointment will be considered if requested by eligible candidates. The anticipated start date for this appointment is September 29, 2025, or another mutually agreed-upon date in 2025. 

Applicants require: 

• A DVM (or equivalent veterinary qualification) and be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in the Province of Ontario.   

• Certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI). Applications may also be considered from candidates who have completed an approved diagnostic imaging residency program and credentials for ACVR or ECVDI certification.  

• Strong skills in clinical diagnostic imaging 

• A graduate degree and demonstrated research capability are desirable.   

• Outstanding teaching and communication skills.  

The successful candidate will collaborate with five other board-certified specialists in diagnostic imaging to provide didactic and clinical instruction in diagnostic imaging and related disciplines to undergraduate students, interns, residents, and other graduate students.   

Clinical service activities will include managing patients and providing diagnostic imaging consultations and opinions at the OVC-Health Sciences Centre, including shared on-call duties and limited administrative responsibilities.  On-call duties will be remunerated in addition to base salary, and the schedule will be shared with other faculty members in the section. External remunerative activities are permitted for up to 25 business days per year, but this opportunity may be increased subject to university approval.  

The remaining effort is to be devoted to scholarly activities, including research and supervision of graduate students.  There are numerous opportunities to participate in innovative teaching and/or research.  The candidate is expected to develop and participate in independent or collaborative research, as well as supervise ACVR residents and graduate students. Time will also be allocated to academic service activities.  

The OVC-HSC offers state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to a 1.5 Tesla high-field General Electric MRI, CT, digital radiology, state-of-the-art ultrasonography, scintigraphy, fluoroscopy, and a 24/7 fully staffed intensive care facility.
