Peace, Mind and Life Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will hold a valid California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) and be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for adults and children grappling with various mental health challenges. This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 122,000 annually, depending on experience.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized clinical treatment plans for clients with acute or chronic mental health issues.
• Providing outpatient psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups in various formats, including video sessions and phone consultations.
• Preparing comprehensive intake summaries, treatment plans, and detailed case summaries while maintaining accurate and confidential client records in accordance with state and NCQA regulations.
• Collaborating with medical professionals to assess clients for potential psychotropic medication needs and managing referrals as necessary.
• Supervising and mentoring Post Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors when appropriate and credentialed to do so.
• Providing psychoeducation and support to clients’ family members, ensuring they understand the treatment process and their role in supporting the client’s recovery.
• Utilizing public and private agency resources effectively to augment client care and facilitate smoother access to external treatment services.
• Engaging in departmental meetings to routinely evaluate and enhance program development and client services.
• Reporting safety concerns in accordance with mandated reporting laws to ensure the protection of all clients.

You will serve a diverse range of clients, including children and adults experiencing various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Minimum qualifications for candidates include the following:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A National Provider Identifier (NPI) is required at the time of hire.

While not mandatory, the following experiences and skills will enhance your application:

• Familiarity with the DSM-V for assessment and diagnosis.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy in outpatient settings.
• Proficient understanding of social service agencies, state regulations, and standards governing patient care and confidentiality.
• Outstanding communication skills with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.
