Job description

Position overview:
The Assistant Product Developer will examine sketches and analyze design ideas to evaluate their feasibility, collaborate with designers, manufacturers, and vendors, and use your skill and expert eye to ensure that the best products are produced.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Accessories
  • Track and organize all incoming samples by date, sample stage, and category including PP and TOP samples
  • Maintain physical and digital references for swatches, trims, and development materials
  • Prepare monthly presentations for new product verticals and development updates
  • Assist with product feature pages and product detail organization
  • Help source new vendors across multiple accessory categories
  • Log development updates, timelines, and sample tracking within Asana and product development Excel trackers
  • Assist with reviewing packaging, materials, construction details, and functionality across bags and accessories

Apparel
  • Help forecast apparel trends and seasonal direction up to a year in advance
  • Stay current on fashion, streetwear, and licensed product trends to support concept development
  • Assist in building out new apparel verticals and sourcing reference samples
  • Initiate tech packs and coordinated early development conversations with overseas vendors
  • Review artwork placement, scale, and garment construction details during development
  • Support communication with overseas vendors regarding sampling, revisions, approvals, and timelines
  • Assist with fit comments, sample reviews, and development tracking across multiple apparel categories
  • Track and organize all incoming samples by date, sample stage, and category including PP and TOP samples

Additional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Design, Technical Design, Production, Marketing, and Licensing teams
  • Assist with costing discussions, MOQ planning, and production lead time tracking
  • Help organize line assortments, development calendars, and seasonal product planning
  • Assist with mood boards when requested
  • Keep accurate and current records in designated systems; updates routine reports, rules, and manuals.
  • Perform routine and non-routine administrative tasks, including document reviews.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Frequently use software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Reader, Slack, Asana, Pantone, and Google Drive
  • All other related duties and projects as assigned by management
