The Associate Product Manager for Equipment will be a key member of the Supply product management team for this critical and highly visible portfolio.The position will collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain and other functions to ensure that the offerings deliver value that meets customer expectations for the different HVAC Supply market segments. Strong analytical skills will be required to make fact-based decisions to prioritize customer segments with well-designed and delivered offerings.

What You Will Do

  • Support product line strategy development, as well as P&L and yearly operating planning for the product lines
  • Support Product Growth Team and strategic A3 for equipment portfolio; partnering with Supply Chain, Procurement and Engineering as core PGT members
  • Maintain ongoing channel engagement to support both the direct retail stores, e-tailers, independent distributors, and operations teams to enable product line growth
  • Identify ways to accelerate growth through collaboration with internal plants and external supply partners
  • Prepare "business pulse" and financial reports on the product line on a regular basis to keep business leaders informed of progress on volume, profitability, and quality targets
  • Assist in the development and revision of sales materials, such as customer presentations and catalogs, specific to the Equipment portfolio.
  • Support/coordinate efforts to understand unmet customer needs for new products or line extensions and determine what product offering features to develop
  • Maintain an updated product mix by leveraging Trane Technologies' business operating system standard work and tools
  • Coordinate with the marketing, commercialization, and sales teams to review and adjust the portfolio marketing strategy, plan (including targeted programs and promotions) and countermeasures for all existing product lines based on performance
  • Conduct regular industry, market, and competitor analysis, including detailed segmentation of end consumers and customers. Quantify growth opportunities that would allow Trane Supply to participate in markets that are growing faster and more profitably
  • Support the training of Account Managers on the Equipment product line. Proficiently deliver training and development to small and large groups, as needed

What You Will Bring

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Data analysis experience - proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, preference for experience with Oracle Business Insights and Tableau
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 10% of the time
  • Familiarity with the HVAC industry preferred
  • Technical background, with experience in sales, marketing, or engineering preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles
