Flo is looking for an Associate to Mid Level Product Designer to join our growing team based in Austin, Texas.

What You Will Do
  • Foster strong communication, working closely with various departments, including Product, Design, Engineering, CS, and Marketing, to ensure the user experience meets or exceeds user expectations.
  • Work with a development team on a daily basis, attending standups, groomings and other team ceremonies while helping to answer questions around workflow designs and foster the development lifecycle of features.
  • Design iteratively always with the future in mind while finding ways to design a solution that is achievable within defined deadlines.
  • Address complex design challenges by incorporating diverse user requirements and expectations.
  • Utilize best practices for web-based architecture and interaction design, including a user-centered design process, and have a strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques.
  • Enhance and expand our design system to ensure a user-friendly experience and consistent design to simplify the developer hand-off process.
  • Experience designing applications with multiple user touchpoints for both desktop and mobile.
  • Create high-fidelity mocks and use prototyping tools such as Figma.
What You Will Bring
  • 2+ years of product design experience in a high-demand, fast-paced, startup, environment.
  • Experience working within and contributing to a design system.
  • Experience with the end-to-end design process (Research & Requirements Gathering, Ideation & Design, Prototyping & Testing).
  • Experience working with a Product Manager and Engineering team in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to show work examples that demonstrate your design thinking and problem-solving as well as visual design skills.
  • Obsessed with improving the user experience and making complex workflows simple and intuitive.
  • Experience with user and competitive research.
  • Experience working in Figma.
  • Experience working with AI tools such as Claude.
