Job description

Duties: Responsible for the financial statement reporting process by coordinating efforts of clients, fund accounting, legal, auditors, and fund administration personnel. Responsible for the production of the Fund's annual and quarterly financial statements to clients, auditors, and investors. Review all financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow prior to release to clients and the auditors. Assist with audit coordination of the clients' annual reporting process by sharing draft financial statements, conducting calls with auditors and clients for audit inquiries and make changes in financial statements per auditor/client comments. Provide clients and auditors with appropriate supporting documentation for annual statements such as bank statements, cost report, asset valuation reports, and bank reconciliations and provide proper reasoning in case of any discrepancies. Responsible for attending onboarding calls with client service representatives for newly launched funds to understand fund structure, client requirements and financial reporting requirements. Keep track of new launches and fund liquidations. Assess the existing manual financial reporting processes, recommend automation solutions utilizing the Alteryx ETL tool, and comprehensively document the new procedures. Train Onshore and Offshore Partners on fund structures and provide the logic needed to implement necessary changes, ensuring accurate client deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Analytics, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Associate, Product Analyst, Assistant Manager, Data Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Associate, Product Analyst, Assistant Manager, Data Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Complex hedge fund structures including master-feeder arrangements, aggregators, side-pocket investments, parallel fund structures, multi- class share structures, and fund of funds portfolios; Handling complex consolidations and adapting to continuously evolving hedge fund structures to ensure accurate reporting and compliance under dynamic investment strategies; Building and maintaining dynamic dashboards by leveraging advanced data visualization and ETL automation using Alteryx and Confluence Unity. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: US GAAP, IFRS, and complex fund structures, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and hybrid vehicles to enable accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements; Handling fund of funds portfolios with layered investments by conducting sophisticated look-through analysis and the allocation of management and performance fees; Derivative instruments including swaps, futures, and options, and their impact on valuation, cost, and reporting; Hedge fund reporting requirement per Financial Accounting Standards Board ("FASB") Accounting Standards Codification ("ASC"), Financial Services-Investment Companies for FMV reporting (ASC 820), derivatives and hedging (ASC 815) and redemption adjustments (FAS 150); Investigating data gaps and discrepancies with client reports; Designing and developing interactive Excel and PDF reports with functionalities including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis add-ons, and VBA; Automating recurring reporting and dashboard production using ETL techniques and process automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
