Job description

A misdemeanor probation officer (PO) supervises offenders in the community, in lieu of incarceration. Special conditions such as community service, drug screens, and treatment referral programs are monitored and coordinated by the PO. The PO accepts and tracks the payments of fines, restitution, and fees from offenders. POs conduct intake and supervision of offenders and perform other duties as required by the Court. POs must possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills, as well as sound judgement and discretion.

A proficiency in basic computer skills and typing is required.

* Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check (no felony convictions)

* Must have a valid Georgia driver's license and a working, dependable vehicle

* Must possess an Associate's Degree, at minimum

* We supervise only misdemeanor offenders
