About the Role 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Occupational Hygienist to join our team. This role will report to the Managing Principal overseeing the Occupational Health & Hygiene Team. You will be responsible for conducting occupational hygiene assessments, assisting with health and safety program evaluation and development and delivering training sessions to our clients. Your work will play a crucial role in protecting workers’ health and ensuring regulatory compliance. 

Work Location: Various locations throughout Ontario, based out of our Markham or Ottawa office. 

Position Type: Salary, Full-time 

Starting Compensation: $75,000 (Associate), $100,000 (Sr. Associate) to $130,000 (Principal) per annum

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Perform a complete range of occupational hygiene assessments, including air monitoring, noise assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and hazardous substance exposure assessments. 
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments and recommend control measures to mitigate health hazards. 
  • Develop, review, and evaluate workplace health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices. 
  • Deliver occupational hygiene and health and safety training sessions to clients, providing expert guidance and practical solutions. 
  • Prepare technical reports outlining findings, recommendations, and compliance measures. 
  • Work closely with clients to provide tailored occupational hygiene solutions and ensure continuous improvement in workplace safety. 
  • Keep up to date with relevant health and safety legislation, standards, and industry developments. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

What You Need For Success 

  • Bachelor degree in health and safety, science, engineering or a related field. 
  • Master degree in occupational and environmental health, public health or industrial hygiene preferred 
  • Certification or eligibility for certification as a Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of occupational health regulations and best practices. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging training sessions. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Superior writing abilities and AI literacy 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a consulting team. 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
