ABB Motion Drive Products in New Berlin, WI is looking for a Senior Production Planner. You will be responsible for master scheduling and analysis of the drive products finished goods production, balancing customer demand, rough cut capacity plans, readiness assessments, and key resource capacity elements to generate production plans.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, in New Berlin, WI - supporting Motion Drive Products division.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Translates projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule, Includes mid to long term capacity review and planning portal maintenance, Establishes key performance indicators of schedule attainment to lead expedite request for OEM/Key Customers in collaboration with Sales Channel Managers and Customer Service.
  • Assembles master schedule report that encompasses performance against the business plan, shipment plan, inventory plan, and production plan, Identifies current planned level of demand and creates tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand and Works with Planning and Fulfillment and Product Management to determine published weekly production lead times.
  • Manage On time delivery (OTD) metric for production review and root cause late orders, pareto and lead Continuous Improvement Projects, ECN Process - Represent production planning and drive planning actions as part of the ECN process, Maintains planning parameters in ERP and Advanced Planning System Portal.
  • Schedules supply based on the product mix and provide accurate commitment dates to the customer service team across multiple product lines, Works with local production planning Manager, local Planning & Fulfillment (P&F) Manager, and operations leadership to resolve issues, Provides input about capacity and output into S&OP and short-term planning processes, Engages in capacity management during S&OP, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years' work experience in order management, project management, or demand planning with sales and operations planning or supply chain background. MBA - preferred. Associate's Degree with 7+ years of work experience in order management project management or demand planning with sales and operations planning or supply chain background or HS Diploma and 9+ years of experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including advanced Excel capabilities; as well as an ERP system - SAP Preferred.
  • Experience with Process Improvement/Continuous Improvement, and documentation of work instructions/standard operation procedures.
  • Good negotiation skills in a multicultural global business environment and strong understanding of supply market, logistics, B2B.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Additional Preferred Experience Includes:

  • Proficient with Tableau, PowerBI, APICS (CPIM) and/or Lean Six Sigma Certifications.
  • Knowledge of larger project business execution and mechanical / electrical category knowledge.
