About the Role

As  Operations Planner, you will lead project execution for larger scale company wide initiatives.  Deliver projects that drive sales, improve process efficiency and support consistent execution in all stores.  Build cross-functional partnerships and alignment across projects and departments.  Develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.  Influence business partners and gain support on project expectations.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop communication in support of key initiatives that have broad impact across the organization

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with key stakeholders

  • Understand audience and communicate difficult/sensitive information accordingly

  • Audits communication tools to ensure consistency, accuracy and timeliness

  • Evaluates communication through store and partners We’re Listening and Hindsight meetings.

  • Recommends and implements enhancements based on feedback 

  • Inform leadership on project status and critical issues affecting execution/success

  • Determine project approach and provide recommendations to move project decisions forward

  • Lead project status meetings to keep partners aligned on goals, determine actionable next steps, and actively problem solve challenges with appropriate partners

  • Leverage subject matter experts to support key aspects of project

  • Turn over completed project to others by agreed upon timeline

  • Responsible for updating project plans and communication documents

  • Gather feedback to ensure projects are progressing on time and meeting expectations

  • Set standards and planning approach for the initiative 

  • Lead efforts in improving customer and associate experience 

  • Determine feasibility of project requests and recommends approach and prioritization

  • Recommend innovative solutions to drive the business forward. 

  • Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

  • Collaborate with corporate partners to deliver innovative solutions that drive sales and operational excellence.

  • Completes ongoing prioritization with partners and leadership to continuously pivot and iterate.

  • Drives continuous process improvement using hindsight feedback from field leaders.

  • Build project plans and timelines and maintain status updates to keep partners and leaders aligned.

  • Advocates for stores with all business partners and through resolution of issues.

  • Develop field communication in support of key initiatives, project rollouts and maintenance of best practices.

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years experience in operations, stores, budgeting, forecasting or reporting

  • Strong analytical, planning and organization skills

  • Advanced decision-making, leadership or communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of Excel/PC spreadsheet functionality

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.

Preferred

  • Proven project management skills with ability to multitask 

  • Ability to work as a part of a team & interact effectively with others

  • Retail experience or retail operations business acumen

Special Requirements

  • On-call responsibility and flexible schedule as needed to support business operations.

  • Travel
