PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Tooling Manufacturing Planner to support one of the most recognized names in aviation. In this high-impact role, you’ll help design, implement, and optimize tooling and manufacturing processes that directly influence product quality, cost performance, and delivery success. What You’ll Do

As a key contributor within Production Engineering, you will:

  • Lead planning efforts for tooling and manufacturing enhancements tied to strategic initiatives

  • Analyze and implement new technologies, concepts, and processes to improve manufacturing efficiency

  • Develop innovative tooling requirements and lifecycle management processes

  • Integrate suppliers, materials, data, and advanced technologies into manufacturing workflows

  • Lead investigations into critical manufacturing issues and implement cross-functional solutions

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure manufacturability and optimal value

  • Conduct benchmarking and evaluate best practices across the industry

  • Present business cases and trade study recommendations to leadership

  • Develop complex work statements and production sequences to meet delivery commitments

  • Perform high-level analysis of schedules and workflows to identify and mitigate risks

  • Research and implement new manufacturing concepts aligned with long-term program goals


What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and lead cross-functional initiatives

  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as PDM (Product Data Manager) and CAPP (Computer Aided Process Planning)

  • Background in aerospace or advanced manufacturing environments

  • Associate degree (AA) or higher in a related discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders

Pay Details: $55.00 to $66.00 per hour
