Job description

As the Maintenance Planner, you'll be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment and facilities. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance resources, and supporting overall operational excellence.

Essential Functions

    Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:

    Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and technicians to develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for plant equipment, machinery, and facilities.

    Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency, equipment criticality, and production schedules, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.

    Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities during planned downtime periods to minimize production impact.

Spare Parts and Inventory Management:

    Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance history, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.

    Identify and procure necessary spare parts and materials for planned maintenance activities, ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to support maintenance needs while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.

    Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to source parts, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and manage vendor relationships.

Work Order Management:

    Generate and prioritize work orders for scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring that all necessary resources, materials, and documentation are available before work begins.

    Track the status of work orders, monitor progress, and update schedules as needed to reflect changes in priorities or resource availability.

Qualifications/Requirements:
