Supply Chain Planner

Position Summary:

  • Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
  • 100% on-site

Catalent's Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Supply Chain Planner. The Supply Chain Planner oversee's all tasks associated with the development and maintenance of both the Master
Production Schedule and the short-term daily production schedule using a variety of tools. Align with Project managers, Formulators, Product Leads and Operations to ensure forecasted work is scheduled and executed. Participate as a member of the Supply Chain Team.

The Role:

  • Partner with Project Managers, Formulators, Product Leads and Operations to
    Understand Client Forecasts/Needs and translate requirements into master schedule.
  • Creation and modification of the long-range Master Schedule in GMP and shift specific
    short-term Production schedules.
  • Maintain alignment with Planners to ensure shared resources are available as needed.
  • Schedule Support Group activities that impact production and assist in facilitation of daily
    operations review meeting.
  • Works with the BU Directors and Supply Chain Manager to review and revise rough cut
    capacity requirements and participate in S&OP monthly process to help facilitate the monthly Operations review.
  • Participate in all pre-launch activities as they relate to scheduling requirements.
  • Work with Client Service Associates, Buyers and Projects Managers to schedule capacity, equipment and line personnel.
  • Identifies and communicates conflicts to the BU and Supply Chain Management to obtain resolutions.
  • Create and Modify ERP System elements to enable execution of operations- including Work Orders and Master Data/Transaction Data
  • All other duties as assigned.

The Candidate:

  • Business or scientific related degree, preferred
  • 3-5 years of operational or scheduling experience, required.
  • MRP experience required, JD Edwards preferred
  • Previous experience in a discrete manufacturing, job shop environment preferred.
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical environment, preferred.
  • GMP Manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Solid dose clinical and development manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Finite Planning techniques/systems experience, preferred.
