Job description

PART-TIME - 6 hours per week

The South Loop Operations Assistant serves as the on-site operations point person for weekend worship services for the church. Work with the Associate Pastor to provide leadership, direction, and management of all operations at the church to help provide a quality environment that enriches the worship and community experience for those attending services.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide oversight and management of set-up and tear-down of the auditorium, rooms, and other areas at the facility. 
  • Recruit, train, and lead a volunteer team to assist in general operations activities (i.e. set-up, tear-down, etc) 
  • Responsible for preparing the facilities for guests (set up chairs, put up signs and flags, set up tables and classrooms.) 
  • Oversee the location to provide a safe and secure environment 
  • Make sure all supplies and church property are properly stored and put away at the location.  
  • Assist in various tasks/projects as determined by the Associate Pastor

Required Experience and Skills 

  • Strong teamwork skills; ability to work cooperatively and jointly with various staff ministries, organizations, and volunteers 
  • Strong ability to lead and manage a team 
  • Responsible, prompt, dependable, and organized 
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and detail-oriented 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently 
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage time and to prioritize workload 
  • Ability to take initiative when situations arise and find solutions to issues
