Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. Summary:

In close collaboration with the Finance Business Partner, drive financial performance management with Product and Delivery heads with guidance and support on financial metrics, business performance and implementation of strategies/projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes across revenue, gross profit, and EBIT

  • Partner with operations and commercial teams to drive data-backed decisions, identify cost drivers, and optimize profitability

  • Assist in month-end close by preparing variance analyses, accruals, and revenue recognition reconciliations

  • Build and maintain financial models and dashboards to support scenario planning, and pricing

  • Collaborate on annual budget and long-range planning cycles with clear linkage to operational levers

  • Translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams

  • Ensure financial data integrity by partnering with accounting and data teams to resolve issues and validate reporting

  • Participate in ad hoc analysis, business case development, and cross-functional projects to support strategic priorities

  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline reporting, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance decision support capabilities

Accountabilities:

  • Daily financial position reporting and full month forecasting to assist stakeholders in real-time decision making.

  • Provide risks and opportunities to product and delivery leads

  • Supports the regional business stakeholders to deliver on their accountabilities

  • Ability to analyze station performance versus ROFO

  • Ability to use discretion/judgement to make choices and commitments on behalf of the company

  • Drive intense performance management with Specialized LTL Product & Delivery Team

  • Daily financial position

Qualifications:

  • Quantitative experience of related activity

  • 1-3 years of experience

  • Mastery of Excel

  • Financial analysis capabilities

  • Basic understanding of accounting

  • Communication skills to be able to talk to stakeholders with various backgrounds/level of understanding financials

  • Travel domestic is expected for 2% of time (visit 1-2 stations per year)

Pay Range:

  • $75,000 - $80,000*
