Position Summary:

The packer associates efficiently packs products on a fast-paced production line, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and identifying defects to maintain food safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Packers are required to wear the designated personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes a plastic apron, plastic sleeves, a hair net, earplugs, and latex gloves.
  • Packers will assume various roles within both the wet and dry areas. These roles include, but are not limited to, sanitation, wet side rework, loader, catcher, wet side packer, dry side packer, palletizer, replenishing materials at individual workstations, Delkor box maker, leak and case checker.
  • Packers will rotate among workstations every 30 minutes.
  • It is essential to inspect products for quality and check for any signs of foreign material contamination.
  • While working at individual stations, packers must ensure that packaging material dispensers are stocked with tubs, lids, labels, and boxes.
  • Packers are responsible for using a cart to transport packing materials to their designated workstations.
  • Additionally, packers are expected to support the team by performing other tasks as directed, particularly when the production line is not in operation.
  • Report any issues to the operator, Lead or Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with other packers and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work in temperatures of 40 degrees Fahrenheit or lower.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week.
  • Capability to lift, push, pull, stoop, bend, crouch, turn, stand, and walk for over 8 hours each day.

Pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
