Associate Packer

As an Associate Packer, you will be responsible for packing products in a timely manner consistent with the department's safety, quality, and production goals. This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department's Team Lead(s). This position works 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00pm – 1:30am with overtime as needed. You will receive a $1.00 shift differential for every hour worked.

What You'll Be Doing (% of Time)

  • Ensure that the packing schedule is followed to satisfy the needs of our customers. Ensure the quality of product meets Company and industry standards. (90%)
  • Ensure that all quality issues are directly reported to the department lead. (5%)
  • Ensure that the immediate work area remains clean to avoid any safety related issues. (5%)

Desired Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Attendance: able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
  • Speaking: able to effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization. Effectively communicate between shifts to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
  • Measurements: able to read a tape measure to 1/32" tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree, micrometers, calipers.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting, and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

Work Environment

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

Travel Required

This job requires no domestic travel.
