Operator Associate|Frankfort, Illinois|Now Hiring

Compensation:

  • $19.73 to $ 22.04 an hour
  • Sign On Bonus $1,000.00

Available Shifts:

  • 1st: 7:00am-3:00pm
  • 2nd: 3:00pm to 11:00pm *$1.50 Shift differential
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am  *$2.00 Shift differential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization
  • Trouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine
  • Provide innovative solutions for production issues
  • Provides support and guidance to less experienced personnel
  • Completes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities
  • Able to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects
  • Observes all housekeeping, standard work and safety guidelines
  • Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required
  • Operate in a safe manner extrusion equipment in our manufacturing/production environment.

Qualifications:

  • Manual Dexterity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detailed record keeping per the prescribed frequency
  • Hand/eye coordination
  • Analytical skills
  • Math Skills (calculators to determine and record production data)
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor machine issues relating to its operation
  • Understanding of production measurement tools such as level, etc.
  • Knowledge of product quality standards
  • Principles of Extrusion machines

Education and/or Experience:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, highly preferred
  • Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions is required

Physical Demand/Effort:   

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing, when required, such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat/bump cap, hair/beard net and gloves
  • Ability to stand, walk, twist, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, bend throughout the duration of the scheduled shift
  • Prolonged standing while performing the duties of the job
  • Job requires high level of manual dexterity with repetitive use of hands, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles
