Job description

The Operations Manager will ensure execution of our customers’ fulfillment and distribution requirements, monitor, and maintain proper safety and security controls, and support appropriate inventory integrity controls within budget requirements, be responsible to provide direction to front line supervisors and hourly associates within the Retail Services newest location building in Dallas, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee supervisors and associates to ensure orders are properly processed and shipped out to customers for timely delivery.
  • Assist in development of productivity & accuracy standards. Ensure acceptable quality control standards are met.
  • Work to improve accuracy, customer service and quality levels.
  • Analyze and improve departmental processes and procedures.
  • Ensure department associates are properly trained on safe work practices. Support and champion an overall safe work environment.
  • Development of supervisors to be able to effectively coach, counsel and motive staff for attainment of optimum performance, productivity and morale.
  • Ensure communication and teamwork among staff to aid in the accomplishment of the department objectives. Provide continued on-the-job training for all associates.
  • Ensure all company and HR policies and practices are communicated to associates and practiced consistently and fairly (i.e. Attendance policy, Workers Comp programs, etc.).
  • Monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective processing and delivery of orders, as well as excellence in customer service levels.
  • This is not an all-inclusive list; other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education/ relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in complex, high SKU warehouse distribution environments is required.
  • Technical knowledge of distribution/operations systems including WMS & RF Scanning, automated packaging, experience with powered industrial vehicles and conveyors is required.
  • Proficient in Outlook and MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Demonstrated success in staff development, and project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, compliance, and incident investigation procedures.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Experience with Koerber 1 / High Jump WMS is a plus.
  • This position may require occasional travel.
