The cooperative does business in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. Insightย FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENTย 

Provides direction and coordination ofย location's operational activities to obtain optimum use of equipment, personnel and facilities to encourage regulatory compliance growth and customer satisfaction in a profitable manner.ย Assumesย responsibility for developing business relationships with customers through exceptional sales and service.ย 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSย 

Conducts professional sales callsย on a regular basisย using the FS Roadmap.ย 

Utilizes target marketing and professional sales techniquesย when calling on customersย and prospects.ย 

Develops territory and competitive analysis to maintainย current knowledge of theย marketplace and the competition.ย 

Provides agronomic products, services, and recommendations to customersย and prospects.ย ย 

Provides customer service by using Precision Farmingย best practices, crop scouting, customย application servicesย and other programs;ย follows-up on customerย complaints.ย 

Ensures the credit worthiness of customers, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares salesย contracts.ย ย 

Promotes the use of credit programs and helps provide the required information to establish credit.ย ย 

Responsible for assigned product ordering, inventory control, and shipping/receiving of product.ย 

Responsible for plant operations including dry fertilizer blending and loading,ย handling of anhydrous ammonia, andย mixing and handling of agย chemicals and liquid fertilizer.ย 

Collaboratesย with location's leadership teamย toย ensure all equipment, rolling stock, and facilities are in good working order.ย ย 

Assists withย the annual budget planning process.ย 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONSย 

Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.ย 

Collects for sales of all assigned products according to company credit policy.ย 

Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards,ย adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains theย appropriate professional image.ย 

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.ย 

Performs all other duties as assigned.ย 

REQUIREMENTSย 

Normally requires anย Associate'sย Degreeย inย agriculturalย or businessย discipline, or the equivalent thereof,ย andย 2 years ofย relatedย work experience.ย 

Must have and maintain aย Commercial Applicator's License.ย 

Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate driver's license (CDL) and satisfactory driving record for appropriate vehicle type in order to perform all the duties assigned prior to employment.

Must be able to obtain and maintainย allย applicable certifications,ย licenses, andย permits.ย 

Occasionally exposed or required to:ย ย 

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet,ย snow, ice,ย etc.)ย 

  • Noisy conditionsย 

  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measuresย
