Job description

Job Summary:
Chenega MIOS is a leader in providing support for large-scale government operations through cutting-edge technology. They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide technical engineering support for a complex network infrastructure environment, focusing on design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems.
Responsibilities:
• Provide design and engineering activities in support of new network solutions for a multi-enclave enterprise network environment that encompasses various technologies.
• Provide network support on an as-needed basis to resolve networking issues that have not been resolved by the first three support tiers.
• Gather user network requirements utilizing multiple methodologies to provide necessary technical documentation, system requirements documents, system security documents, and system test plan.
• Install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues involving various protocols, topologies, networking hardware, etc.
• Conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of internetworking, computer systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals to enhance understanding of current network designs and to collaborate with other team members to develop new network designs.
• Apply technical and business experience and understanding to improve processes and procedures for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Work independently and collectively to help improve network solutions and contribute to network service improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions
• Must have experience in troubleshooting complex Local Area Networking (LAN) issues and resolving Wide Area Networking (WAN) problems, and supporting cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutions
• Must have experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Services Routers (ASRs)
• Must have experience providing Tier 3 support and issue resolution
• Must have experience with network design and traffic engineering
• Must have experience providing senior-level engineering support
• Must have experience with TACLANE systems
• Active Top-Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI: There is a CI polygraph test that is administered once onsite
Preferred:
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
• Experience with SDWAN implementation and operations
• Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
• Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail
