About the Position:


The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining all social media accounts associated with VPEP. This position will also be responsible for responding to customer inquiries made through social media platforms.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Writes and posts relevant VPEP information to social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Create a monthly content calendar and maintains a regular social media posting schedule
  • With the project manager's input and guidance, responds to any customer service issues posted to social media (i.e., VPEP's Facebook page)
  • Keeps abreast of all social media trends, working with the project manager and contract executive to implement new social media applications
  • Tracks the public's access to VPEP's social media pages and works with project manager and contract executive to expand/reach a broader audience
  • Monitor social media pages and ensure proper engagement with followers
  • Prepares reports relating to social media analytics
  • Amend website as needed with Word Press
  • Complete SEO optimization for website
  • Build social media relationships with community partners
  • Create and post quarterly ads on Facebook and Instagram

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or some college required, a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or other related field a plus
  • Two years' experience working with social media
  • Solid writing and editing skills a must
