Job description

We are currently hiring an IT Support Specialist to provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to employees and help maintain the company’s IT environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and experience supporting Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, user accounts, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to employees.
  • Respond to support requests through the IT service desk, phone, email, and other approved channels.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, printer, peripheral, and mobile device issues.
  • Support Windows and macOS workstations and standard business applications.
  • Provide Microsoft 365 support, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications.
  • Perform user administration and account management in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Install, configure, deploy, and maintain company computers, mobile devices, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and procedures in the IT service management system.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, equipment deployment, and access changes.
  • Educate employees on technology best practices and security awareness.
  • Assist with office moves, hardware refreshes, technology rollouts, and equipment deployments.
  • Participate in IT projects and deployments as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate hardware, software, and equipment inventory.
  • Follow IT security policies and report suspected security incidents.
  • Escalate advanced technical issues to the appropriate IT resources when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of IT Help Desk or Technical Support experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking.
  • Experience working with IT ticketing or service management systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations, offices, or companies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, endpoint management, or Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or organizational integrations.
