Associate Member information

What is an associate member?

Associate Members are individuals or organizations that hold a non-voting or limited-participation membership status within an organization, institution, or professional association. This role typically allows members to access certain resources, attend events, and participate in some activities, but without the full privileges or responsibilities of regular or full members. Associate membership is often ideal for those seeking to be involved with the organization but do not meet all the criteria for full membership, or for those who prefer a less active role. Benefits and requirements for Associate Members can vary widely depending on the organization's structure and goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an associate member, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Associate Member, you generally need a relevant educational background, foundational industry knowledge, and eligibility criteria set by the professional organization. Familiarity with membership management systems and digital collaboration platforms is often expected. Effective communication, networking ability, and a proactive attitude help individuals make the most of membership opportunities. These skills and qualities are important for building professional connections, accessing resources, and advancing within the organization or field.

How does an associate member typically collaborate with other team members within an organization?

As an Associate Member, you are often expected to work closely with more senior colleagues and various departments on collaborative projects. This role usually involves supporting ongoing initiatives, contributing to group discussions, and assisting with research or administrative tasks. Open communication and a willingness to learn from others are highly valued, as you will frequently seek guidance and feedback to develop your professional skills. The team structure often encourages mentorship, helping you build strong networks and grow within the organization.

Job description

Member Sales Associate

Employment Type: Full-Time ONSITEย

Serenity is growing its client-facingย teamย andย we'reย looking for a Member Sales Associate who knows how to make people feel informed,ย confident in the decisionsย they'reย making, andย drivingย the results that matter. This is a high-touch, relationship-driven role with real performance expectations.ย You'llย be the person clients rely on to understand their options, navigate next steps, and feel genuinely supported throughout theย processย andย you'llย be measured on how well you move them forward. Ifย you'veย built your career in premium customer service, hospitality, or any environment where qualityย andย outcomes were both non-negotiable, this role will feel familiar fast.ย

What You'll Doย

  • Guide clients through their available options with clarity, patience, and a consultative approachย whileย confidentlyย encouragingย them to take the next stepย
  • Listen carefully, ask the right questions, and document client information accurately and thoroughlyย
  • Work toward individual KPIs and contribute to team performance goals with consistency and accountabilityย
  • Handle objections and hesitations with composure and persistence, redirecting toward solutions without pressure while keeping momentum movingย
  • Coordinate handoffs between internal teams to ensure the client experience stays seamlessย
  • Follow up with clients to keep momentum moving and ensure nothing falls through the cracksย

What You Bringย

  • 2+ years of full-time, high-quality customer-facing experience. Ideally inย hospitality, retail, concierge, sales-adjacent, or premium service environments strongly preferredย
  • A track recordย of hitting goals or performance targets, andย the self-motivation to keep raising the barย
  • You build trust quickly and people feel comfortable with you almostย immediatelyย
  • You handle rejection well - youย don'tย take it personally, you learn from it and stay focused on the outcomeย
  • Strong active listening skills - you catch what people mean, not just what they sayย
  • Able to manage a high volume of interactions without letting quality slipย
  • Some leadership experience or the desire to grow into one - team leads and shift supervisors are encouraged to applyย

Schedule & Compensationย

  • Condensed work week - three 13-hour shiftsย
  • Competitive payย
  • 90% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverageย
  • 401(k) retirement planย
  • 10 PTO days to start, 15 after year one, plus 10 paid holidaysย
  • Significant growth and promotion potential as Serenity continues to expandย

About Serenityย

Serenity is a driven company delivering advanced, evidence-based solutions for clients who are looking for better outcomes. Our client-facing teams are the core of how people experience what we do - and we invest heavily in people who show up, perform, and genuinely care about the clients they serve. Ifย you'veย spent your career in environments where every interaction mattered, the standard was always high,ย andย you knew how to get results,ย you'llย find this place was built for people like you.ย

Serenity is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment is contingent upon successful completion ofย a background checkย and drug screening.
