Job description

Position Overview

A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join its maintenance team. This is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Repair and replace motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, valves, and other industrial components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) to identify faults (programming experience is a plus but not required).
  • Install and wire motors, sensors, VFDs, and other electrical components.
  • Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation using a CMMS system.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with:

  • - AC/DC motors

    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
    • Conveyors
    • Gearboxes
    • Bearings
    • Chains & sprockets
    • Pumps
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.

  • Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and motor controls.

  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

  • CMMS experience preferred.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Food, beverage, packaging, automotive, metals, plastics, or other manufacturing industry experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.).
  • Experience with robotics or automated manufacturing equipment is a plus.
