Description

 The Mechanical Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery. This person will also drive a systematic problem solving, process improvement and value enhancement approach utilizing Lean Manufacturing and engineering principles.  Mechanical engineers contribute to the entire cycle of production of various machines-from research, design, and development to testing and installation. They create innovative products through the application of complex engineering techniques and analysis. 


Job Responsibilities:  

  • Designs products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots.
  • Works with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans.
  • Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.
  • Produces specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production.
  • Builds models and prototypes of the product and tests the design.
  • Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs.
  • Develops control systems and monitors production.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
