Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Loss (Breakdown, Waste, Speed) Investigation and Resolution
  • Attend Tier 1 and Production Analysis Board (PAB) meetings, providing the line team with status updates and aligning on resource deployment and timelines to address losses.
  • Resolve recurring loss issues using systematic problem-solving techniques to identify root causes.
  • Support Shift Technicians in investigating losses (breakdowns, waste, and speed) to ensure countermeasures are effective.
  • Coach and mentor Technicians and Operators on the effective use of problem-solving tools and the implementation of robust countermeasures.
  • Support continuous improvement (CI) projects and validations as needed to improve equipment reliability.
2. Development of Maintenance Standards
  • Collaborate with Operators and Technicians to effectively complete Daily Task Maintenance (DTM) and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities to improve OEE and safety performance.
  • Provide recommendations to the Reliability Leader for improving maintenance standards and execution, including maintenance frequency, breakdown reduction, and repair effectiveness, based on problem-solving outcomes and DTM/PPM activities.
  • Coach team members on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
3. Implementation of Basic Maintenance Processes and Equipment Settings for Designated Product Line(s)
  • Participate in the planning process for maintenance activities.
  • Lead maintenance activities for the assigned production line in partnership with the Preventive Maintenance Leader.
  • Maintain critical equipment settings and standards and ensure all changes are documented and closed-loop.
4. Building Maintenance Skills for Technicians and Operators
  • Provide training and coaching to Operators and Technicians on DTM and PPM maintenance activities and standards.
5. Execution of Maintenance Activities on the Production Line (Planned and Unplanned, as Available)
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance activities are completed effectively, including opportunistic maintenance, in coordination with the Preventive Maintenance Leader.
  • Accurately record maintenance details on designated forms and in SAP.
  • Report and address abnormalities identified during DTM and PPM activities to reduce losses.
  • Record spare parts used during maintenance activities and unplanned breakdowns in accordance with maintenance requirements.
6. Other Duties as Required to Support Business Needs
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete procedures for blocking issues in a timely and efficient manner.

This position has the following minimum educational requirements:
1. High School Diploma/GED: Required

2. In lieu of Associates degree, 5 years technical or manufacturing experience required.

Preferred qualifications
1. BA/BS Degree Preferred - Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred

2. 3 years' experience with high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment required.
3. Some PLC experience preferred but not essential.
4. 2 years medical device manufacturing experience preferred
