Position Overview:

As a Business Excellence Associate - Manufacturing and Process Engineer, you will support and learn various roles and operating processes within a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on developing foundational engineering capabilities while assisting in process improvements, supporting operational excellence initiatives, and contributing to efficiency, quality, and safety efforts across the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing engineering initiatives, including equipment standards and vendor scorecard development
  • Assist in developing and implementing technical standards, work instructions, and training materials for production and technical teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with plant engineers, operations personnel, and maintenance teams to enhance processes
  • Collect and analyze process data, identify trends and assist in reporting weekly and monthly performance metrics
  • Support preparation of cost tracking and production-related data for budgeting activities
  • Assist with training operators and technicians on basic process and equipment knowledge
  • Help develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions (WI), FMEAs, control plans, process flows, and SOPs
  • Participate in new equipment and automation implementation activities under guidance

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0-2 years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience (internships/co-ops applicable)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma concepts preferred)
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including off-shifts or weekends, as needed to support operations

Hours, Location and Pay:

We offer a competitive base pay rate and benefits package for full-time employees. This role works standard business hours Monday - Friday at our Neenah, WI manufacturing facility. Additional hours as needed to support business needs.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
