The Management Consulting Team at Teneo

Our Management Consulting division focuses on answering key strategic questions for business leaders through our mix of senior experience and rigorous analysis, combined with the unique expertise that exists across Teneo. We operate across a diverse array of sectors including Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Leisure & Hospitality, Software, Transport, and TMT, amongst others. Within these markets, we provide strategic, operational, and due diligence support, advising reputable Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 firms, key public‑sector organisations, and private equity investors.

As an Associate Director, you will play a leadership role in delivering strategic client engagements and building trusted client relationships. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to solve complex business challenges, guide high‑performing teams, and drive impactful results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex client engagements, including strategy development, project planning, timelines, deliverables, and progress reporting
  • Serve as a day‑to‑day lead for senior clients, building trusted relationships and helping execute strategic initiatives
  • Help CEOs and senior leadership teams address critical business issues with solutions that advance, accelerate and multiply value
  • Set priorities and manage workloads across account teams to deliver high‑quality client service and meet commitments
  • Collaborate across internal divisions to develop integrated, meaningful solutions for clients
  • Direct multiple workstreams across client accounts, ensuring alignment across teams, clients and vendors
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, supporting their development and success
  • Establish priorities based on strategic direction, considering multiple perspectives and interdependencies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience within a consulting environment
  • Experience applying a broad consulting toolkit to solve diverse client challenges across industries and functions
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to structure projects, establish priorities and manage expectations across multiple clients
  • Demonstrated expertise helping clients address strategic, operational and organisational challenges
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, with a creative approach to ideas, solutions and client work
  • Ability to approach complex issues with intellectual rigor, sound judgement and practical problem‑solving skills
  • Persuasive communicator with the ability to communicate clearly, comfortably and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience contributing to business development and internal team initiatives

Base Salary Range

$250,000-270,000 (compensation for this role will depend upon several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).

Hybrid Flexible Work Policy

Teneo believes in in‑person collaboration when possible. If you are assigned to the New York office, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
