Shift
Monday - Friday - 1st Shift (Day)
Customer Logistics Representative (CLR)

The CLR is assigned tasks by the Operations Supervisor and/or Operations Lead to support successful execution of account plans and statements of work (SOW). This mid-level role executes daily operations, order file and carrier execution, recommends and implements internal productivity improvements using QDM methodologies, and contributes to team unity. The CLR must anticipate changes in priorities and proactively develop plans to meet those challenges, while identifying and resolving internal and external performance issues.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Execute complex and exception-based freight tendering, including rate negotiation and securing capacity for specialty moves (e.g., white-glove, refrigerated, flatbed, expedited).
  • Communicate directly and frequently with internal departments, customers, carriers, and vendors via oral and written methods.
  • Manage service performance at the load level, including root cause analysis for pickup and delivery failures.
  • Gather and document load exception information from carriers, consignees, and shippers in the TMS portal.
  • Manage exception loads through to completion.
  • Identify process improvements and cost savings opportunities using QDM methodologies.
  • Handle escalations from Customer Logistics Coordinators regarding mismatched data and exceptions, following customer SOPs.
  • Manage internal and external KPIs as assigned (e.g., tender acceptance, missed pickups and deliveries).
  • Create and maintain clear work instructions and ensure SOP compliance.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Education / Experience
  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • 0--1 years of experience required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in contract logistics, transportation, or a related industry preferred.
