Work you'll do

As an Associate Creative Director on the Life Sciences & Health Care team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading creative concept development and copy execution across HCP, patient, institutional, digital, social, omnichannel, and scientific communication initiatives
  • Managing and mentoring copywriters and creative collaborators across multiple engagements, therapeutic areas, and deliverables

  • Partnering with art directors, strategists, account teams, and project managers to deliver integrated creative solutions that connect scientific content to audience-centered storytelling
  • Guiding copy through medical, legal, and regulatory review processes while maintaining scientific accuracy, brand alignment, and delivery timelines
  • Supporting business development efforts through pitch development, creative solutioning, and contribution to account growth initiatives
  • Ensuring all copy is scientifically accurate, strategically grounded, and aligned to brand guidelines and regulatory expectations
  • Translating complex clinical and scientific data into accessible, compelling narratives for diverse audiences-from oncologists and interventionalists to caregivers and patients

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Proven ability to ideate, concept, and write-executing high-quality copy across print, digital, video, social, and omnichannel formats
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and creative workstreams across a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others

The Team

Today's pharma and MedTech companies are navigating unprecedented complexity: increasingly sophisticated science, crowded therapeutic landscapes, evolving HCP expectations, and patients demanding more meaningful engagement. As a result, the demand for creative partners who combine scientific fluency with breakthrough storytelling has never been higher.

Deloitte's Life Sciences & Health Care practice works with large and mid-sized pharma and MedTech clients to design and deliver creative tactics that cut through the noise-whether engaging oncologists with an MOA launch campaign, supporting hospital system pull-through with institutional marketing, or empowering patients with tools to advocate for their own care. We bring together creative strategy, scientific depth, regulatory discipline, and agency-caliber craft to help clients build brands that matter.

This role sits at the heart of that mission-leading creative copy for a portfolio of accounts while helping shape the way Deloitte delivers creative excellence in the life sciences space.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, communications, advertising, English, journalism, or a related field
  • 8+ years of agency experience in medical copywriting, pharma advertising, healthcare marketing, or a related life sciences creative environment
  • A portfolio demonstrating significant experience in pharma and/or MedTech agency work, including HCP, patient, and/or institutional campaigns across multiple therapeutic categories. A portfolio link should be listed on resume and if it's password protected, please include the password.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel 30%+, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Experience developing regulated promotional or educational content for pharmaceutical or MedTech brands

Preferred

  • Experience navigating MLR environments and producing regulated promotional and educational content
  • Experience leading and mentoring creative copy teams across multiple concurrent accounts and diverse project types
  • Experience translating complex scientific and clinical content into compelling audience-appropriate messaging
  • Experience presenting creative concepts to brand, marketing, medical, or agency stakeholders
  • Experience participating in or leading new business pitches and agency growth initiatives
  • Experience managing content workflows, creative operations, and review cycles in regulated settings

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
