Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments for the Nursing Assistant program at the Sylvania Campus. Candidates will be considered for providing instruction in lecture/lab and clinical settings.This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full term class assignments.

The Clinical Instructor scope of work:
Supervises, instructs, and evaluates nursing assistant students in a clinical setting. An instructor is assigned to a clinical site for 2 days or evenings a week/term. The instructor will supervise between 4 to 6 students at one time. Primary communication will be with the director of the Nursing Assistant program.

Instructor Qualifications
There are two categories of instructors to be considered for hire:
1)Primary instructor:
Faculty serving as a primary instructor must:
Hold a current Oregon RN license
Have at least two years' experience as an RN; and
Have evidence of completion of a course on teaching adults, or one year of experience teaching adults
2)Clinical Instructors and Instructors for Lecture/Lab:
Faculty serving as an approved clinical teaching associate and/or lecture/lab instructor must:
Hold a current Oregon RN or LPN license; and
Have the equivalent of at least one year of experience as a licensed nurse

Clinical Requirements
