Firm Background

Apna Law LLP is a growing litigation firm based in Burnaby, BC, serving clients across British Columbia and Alberta. Our practice spans family law, estate litigation, personal injury, defamation, and general civil litigation. We are a tight-knit team that values strong advocacy, practical judgment, and genuine client service.


The Position

We are seeking an experienced associate to join our growing Family Law department in Burnaby. You will manage your own caseload across the full spectrum of family law matters (primarily in the Supreme Court of British Columbia) as well as have opportunities to second chair trials.  


What We Are Looking For

2+ years of experience in family law litigation in BC (estate litigation or civil litigation experience is an asset but not a requirement)

Active member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia

Demonstrated independent advocacy experience

Strong drafting skills and attention to detail across pleadings and correspondence

Excellent communication skills with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently

Compensation

There is an opportunity to work either as a salaried lawyer or on a fee-split. Anticipated salary range for a lawyer with 2+ years of experience starts at $120,000 and 5+ years experience in Family Law at $150,000 to $180,000. The firm offers group benefits and covers the cost of the premiums for all employees.
