Salary: $90,000-$140,000 DOE + Annual Bonus
At R.E.Y. Engineers, we're looking for an experienced Associate Land Surveyor who is ready to take the next step in their career. If you're looking for a company where your technical expertise is valued, your leadership is encouraged, and your career continues to grow, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
You'll be involved throughout the life of each project, from planning and field coordination through final deliverables.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys.
  • Coordinate field and office survey operations to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and review maps, plats, legal descriptions, records of survey, and other technical survey documents.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with California surveying standards.
  • Process and analyze survey data using industry-standard software.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, utility companies, and public agencies.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to field crews and junior survey staff.
  • Support proposal preparation, project estimates, and client communication.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and help strengthen the continued growth of the Pleasanton survey team.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who combines strong technical surveying experience with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications include:
  • California LSIT required; California PLS license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
  • 5-10+ years of progressive land surveying experience.
  • Experience with boundary, topographic, construction, and land development surveys.
  • Strong knowledge of field-to-finish workflows using GPS, robotic total stations, laser scanning, and related survey technology.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting a remote and collaborative team environment
Why R.E.Y.?
At R.E.Y., you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact-not only on the projects you help deliver, but on the continued growth of our Bay Area survey operations.
We offer:
  • Competitive salary of $90,000-$140,000 DOE
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company benefits
  • Additional voluntary insurance options
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Professional development and continuing education support
  • Opportunities for advancement as our Pleasanton office continues to grow

If you're looking for an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, mentor others, and help build the future of surveying at a growing firm, we'd love to hear from you.
