Overview
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Associate Microbiologist will control and assure quality and provide technical support for production by means of microbiological analysis of raw materials, utilities & environment (water, compressed air etc.) as well as finished products.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Test materials and finished products for microbial contamination
  • Prepare and standardize all reagents
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Complete all necessary documentation in microbiology lab to ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance
  • Data entry/ review
  • Perform environmental monitoring
  • Cleaning of equipment and glassware
  • Sample compositing
  • Reading plates and enumeration of microorganisms.
  • Completing all routine testing in a timely manner and reporting results and data in Labware-LIMS
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
